VISUAL ARTS SCHOOL

Visual Arts School

Pukinmäki Visual Arts School is open to all children and young people who want to develop their skills in visual expression and creativity.
In our classes, you’ll explore a wide range of techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, 3D composition, ceramics, textile printing, photography, media art, and virtual visual environments. As your skills grow, you’ll have the opportunity to focus more deeply on the materials and approaches that interest you most.
Studies take place in group settings under the guidance of a visual arts teacher. Each year, students have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a shared art exhibition.
A unique aspect of our art school is its interdisciplinary approach. Alongside your main subject, you can choose elective studies in any of the five other art forms taught at the school and include them as part of your visual arts education.
Our curriculum follows the Advanced Syllabus of Basic Education in the Arts, with 30 weeks of instruction per school year (14 in the autumn term and 16 in the spring). Depending on your level, class duration ranges from 60 to 135 minutes. The full advanced syllabus includes 1,300 hours of study: 800 hours of basic studies and 500 hours of advanced studies. One lesson hour equals 45 minutes.
In addition to weekly classes, we offer intensive courses, workshops, and holiday camps for all ages.
